I'm gonna start composing my own music for videos. All I need is one of those Casio keyboards from the 80's.

I just started fooling with Vimeo yesterday. We'll see how it behaves with copyrighted music. YouTube and FaceBook seem to detect just about everything.

think i've said before (as have others) i don't blame YT. they are being held by the copyright owner to comply with the law. i understand the law's intent just am frustrated with what i perceive to be short sightedness of the content owner. why ban the audio of a movie i post of a bunch of people skiing or biking or whatever. some artists/owners get it, they are taking advantage of my use of their material to make $$, here's a great example, IMHO, where YT and the content owner profit from my usage:

I just discovered a cool feature of my video editing software (Cyberlink PowerDirector V7). It has built in music which is OK to use, and you can drag it out to the length of the video, it will automatically fade it out at the end. Cool stuff.

I used it here:

vimeo not working for me.

Anyone else getting just white boxes where the embedded vimeo should be? Even on the vimeo website.

I may have something to do with upgrade to flash player 9. Problem persists on Firefox or IE.

Anyone else seen this?

Vimeo has never worked for me in Linux but I have been too lazy to fix the problem. Never had a problem in WinXP or Vista though. I don't know why web sites insist on using exclusively the newest version of plug ins or software with no options for folks that are not 100% up to date with their systems.
