Do any actual customers not know that Killington was sold?

I just got done reading that kzon challenge.

Few takes. Most post mention the company and what they want to become. I wonder if they took into consideration all the small business owners that are making there living off the million skier visits? Majority are going to go under. The community is the backbone of the resort. It seems like they were not involved in any of the decision making.

That million skier visits your referring to was 3 years ago....the correct version is how are they doing with the the 795,000 two seasons ago and the 750,000 they had last season. The downfall began way before Powdr showed up. Powdr's challenge is to turn it around. The supporting businesses that will survive are the same businesses that survive a major plant closing or a major military base shuts down. Plattsbugh went thru that. The good businesses survive, the bad businesses don't.

In a few short weeks the answers to everyones questions, predictions and the inflicted pain will start to appear as the first episode begins. This season kmart should be better than a reality show. Season final episode in April. Stay tuned.

A business colleague of my wife's who along with her husband and now over the last few years, kids skied K 4 to 5 long weekends each season just found out about the new ownership when they called to schedule daycare and daycare/ski school for they're kids. The sticker shock about what they did to daycare/ski school prices convinced them that instead of 4 or 5 weekends a K it will be 1 at K and 3 or 4 other long weekends at other Eastern properties this season. What is another tell tale sign of the misguided path that POWDR appears to have K on, is my wife's business colleagues family is a solid member of the high socioeconomic demographic that POWDR is trying to attract/retain.

Just because the well off have lots of money doesnt mean that they want to spend it, when they could get same for less at other locations. They didnt get the way they are by spending wildly in most cases.

I didn\'t know, and I don\'t really care. Its still the same mountain, and I\'ll still ski it as much (rarely) as I used to.
