Obnoxious, inane, talentless noise. A car horn is more skilled.

No, it's more like talking in an annoying way, with an obnoxious, inane, noise in the background that is entirely drums, so that you can annoy everyone within 5 miles when you drive around with the windows down and the volume cranked up all the way.

without the influence of rap a lot of good music wouldn't exist. i agree about it with a lot rap, but i really like lots of stuff with heavy rap influence (beastie boys, sublime ect....).

As much as I'd love to be blasting through the woods in virgin powder listening to 'Eyes of the World', I would never ski with an ipod. I actually don't own one, but wouldn't if I did. I had a VERY severe crash from a collision in HS that resulted in a fractured verterbrea in my neck and dislocated shoulder, which ended my season the first week of January. Every since then I have been very leary of others riding near me. I not only want to be able to see everything, I want to be able to hear others nearby as well.

As for the phone, I hadn't had a cell phone in four years until this summer. I only do so now because my job requires it. Unless I plan on meeting someone at the hill this winter, the phone will stay in the car. That might change someday if I have kids though.

I'm a big fan of rap music..when I'm booting up..I like to blast rap music. I also love free-style rapping and battle rapping people at parties. Pounding through moguls and trees with some mad crispy rap music on the IPOD is awesome..woo hoo

I guess I'm getting old, I really don't like any current rap music but I like a lot of the old school, Dr. Dre - The Chronic is one of the best albums of all time, of any kind of popular music, and I tend to prefer heavy music. That said, I don't listen to music when I'm skiing, I just enjoy the sounds of skiing.

I'm mostly referring to the "gangsta rap" area, where any crap that sort of rhymes and sounds dirty will become a hit. I can tolerate the older rap, and I do like some rap-influenced bands like Rage Against the Machine, and some KoRn.

Class act.

Would you find a car alarm going off constantly from the car next to you to be annoying? How about some "music" that you find insipid blaring out of the car beside you while you're getting ready?

Have some respect for others in the area and turn it down/off so that you are the only one affected by it.

No doubt you think it's "cool". Others think it's nauseating. Have some consideration for those around you. Simple concept.

If there's a little kid booting up..I'll play rap music with less explicit lyrics. It's pretty common for people to play music from their cars while booting up. Up at Stowe it's mostly Allman Brothers hippy shit..I happen to like Rap the best.

Old School rap to me is from 2004..lol

My I-pod is an old school shuffle..not the little button one. It's also cool timing runs based on the length of a song. For instance at Blue mountain I usually just hear a verse or two on a run. At Jackson Hole..One top of the Gondola to the base screamer on Sundance or Gros Ventre as a warm-up on a hardpack day lasts almost a 3:30 song..but the Hobacks usually take two songs...mad steezy yo

Without the influence of the Blues, even less good music would exist.
