in front of your house.
This happened to me tonight. My heart jumped to my throat! Were they at my house, or across the street at my neighbors. As I got a closer I discovered that the lights weren't actually right in front of my house, but just below my driveway. There was a car in the swampy area below my neighbor's house.
The lights were still on at the neighbor's house so I went over to talk to him. Apparently, the driver lost control about 300+ feet up the hill from his house. It took out the mail boxes for 4 houses.
After hitting the third mailbox it crossed the street and went onto the front lawn of the neighbor one house up the hill from me. Then it crossed again and ran over his front lawn, just missing his house, taking out a retaining wall and just missing his new car(2 days old).
Then the car crossed the street again just below my driveway. It probably hit the soft shoulder and went spinning into the swamp and ended facing looking back up hill. It just missed a telephone pole. It actually went between the pole and the guide wire. A bunch of the little saplings were bent over and you could see it's path. According to my sister,they called for life flight but it was unavailable. I called her because I know she has a scanner and I wanted to let know it was not me (It was a foreign, black car. I have a black Subaru...and I know that she is a worry wart.)
I do not know any of the other details, but I have to tell you, it was sure scary coming down the hill and seeing all the lights. My neighbor said there was a horrific amount of noise. His two children are terrified.
