Yeah, I should bump Maine to #2 just for the ski quality...but there's nothing doing in Bethel...or there wasn't last time I was there...

It's just too far

8 1/2

yeah, yeah, wimp

But the river doesn't do much for families...it gets very expensive

I really need to get to Maine this year... :x
Have you been to the Loaf?

I vote for VT but would further qualify that to northern VT. MRG, the Bush, Smuggs, Stowe, Burke, Jay.

I disagree with DMC about NH for BC. I would stick to northern VT for BC.

I voted NH, because of BC, and proximity.

My favorite NE resorts are in VT (Magic, MRG, Jay) and ME (Loaf and Saddleback).

I like Whiteface, but it's way far and it's a resort, not a state.

DMC: You need to get to the Loaf with a side trip to Saddleback. Definite must!

I voted for Rhode Island. Unfortunatley, Alabama isn't an option.

Vermont for sure for me based on terrain, conditions & proximity to me. The other states are good too but Vermont, especially Northern VT, is just better for me.

Why am I NOT surprised to find VT on top by a large margin? ;)

Although proximity would put NY on my second best list.
