Actually I may have to download it sooner. It appears to have a lot of the features that I normally have to get from extensions built-in and spell checker!

Yeah, a lot of nice new features. I'm not using many extensions, as it is, so I don't have to worry about them working, but still, I can wait a bit.

Mine will crash every once and awhile. I have a extension that allows you to restore your session though so it's not as big of a deal. It looks like 2.0 will have that functionality built in.

BTW, 2.0 isn't officially released yet. Looks like it's supposed to be released officially today at 5:00 PT.

I tried out the 2.0 beta a bit over the summer. I didn't really explore it that much but it had a few obvious improvements like the spellchecker

firefox has released a few RC's recently, so i assume most of the application bugs have already been worked out. my biggest concern is extension functionality. many functions were reported not to work with RC2 and RC3 from what i understand. i will wait a few more days and check in on extension updates before upgrading. perhaps i'll upgrade in windows to try it out before putting it on my main desktop. the enhancements look real nice.

I'm not too concerned with extensions since most of the ones I use appear to be covered by the new features of 2.0.

i noticed some aspects of tab mix plus are now incorporated, but the extension has mighty powerful customizing features that i doubt were all added to 2.0. greasemonkey got a tune up it seems, but i am holding out to verify bbcode and adblock are good to go. can any one with 2.0 comment on bbcode and adblock? i seriously can not browse without adblock on. when i switched to my new OS and had to reinstall extensions, i couldn't believe how many ads i have been missng.     seriously, if you don't have adblock extension, get it!!!!

Adblock still works, I don't use bbcode so I can't comment there. Tab mix plus definitely doesn't work, though at a quick glance all the features that I used most seem to be part of 2.0. I'm sure I'll find something missing though...

BTW, the spell check kicks ass!

I didn't get to play with 2.0 last night when I switched because shortly after upgrading the display on the my laptop crapped out. :(

I just upgraded my work computer and there's definitely a few of the Tab Mix features that I'm missing, but it's not too bad. It's not enough to make me want to switch it back to 1.5, but I'd probably hold off on the upgrade if I were to have a chance to do it again.

And with that, webmasters around the world like myself collectively cringe...

But hey - I fast forward through commercials on my TiVo.......although I pay for the satellite service...

I was thinking that too. I should note that while I do have Adblock installed I only use to block ads that cause problems. Some have run ads that actually caused my browser to crash so I'd block those ads, or sometimes an ad from a certain provider will cause the page to load REALLY slow so I'll block it...

I upgraded to the latest version of the Tab Mix Dev Build which seems to be working fine with 2.0. Hopefully they'll release it soon.
