Well we were at the best of the Season so far with Trail and Mountain coverage. The mountain conditions are about to have another refresher and a small boost and then a downgrade from this incoming system to the Northeast with Snow, Sleet & RRrrrrr followed by Cold and Freezing weather.

It was the best of times...
It was the worst of times....
Maybe we can make some decent SNOW-balls out of the SLUSH & WET that's arriving before the weekend : )

Looking ahead trying to find some decent conditions?? People's opinions??
While this upcoming Thursday and Friday storm system would be Mixed with (RRRrrr & WET) riding at most mountains leading to frozen conditions at many locations. There is a possible Window regardless of the WET precipitation for this WEEKEND to be at least 'OK" like conditions if it will really be around 30's or above freezing on Saturday, Sunday could be Glazed over or Frozen but it will then be Boarder-line crust/frozen conditions but "Snowing" is possible by Saturday after midnight into Sunday.

6" of SNOW is possible at some Mountains with the current weather MENU for the Northeast this Sunday into Monday if things keep lining up,

Northwestern edge of the Catskills here. At least 5 inches and dumping... 31 degrees. Tomorrow's a go if the roads aren't too bad.

One last great day of skiing, it's been a great run and the base is fat now. With that said my Feb 4-14 vacation is now gonna be a March 4-14 vacation.

Some Northeast mountains and not that it would be great or world class but those and most Sothern Vermont mountains have a decent Saturday I believe coming up. Okemo is showing 36hi on Saturday with 32 or so the night before should be Soft or close to soft most places at Okemo if that holds. Stowe on the other hand is showing 30 the night before and 30hi on Saturday. Hmmmmm??

Northeast most areas might make out ok. Friday now looks to start a bit icy and snap over to snow for most of Northern half of NH & VT and most of ME. So there's that. Weird day today at Sunapee. Decent snow and it never really got affected but it was pretty much freezing mist all day. Couldn't really call it drizzle as it didn't seem to be "falling", but googles iced up every run.

Re: Southern VT. -Yeah I see everyone dropping into freezing temps sat am and then cloudy all day. Doubt it softens up.
Whatever surface they groom up at Stratton will be skied off by 10am.
should be flat out dangerous after lunch.

Friday might be the best of it in the rain.
