Heading to Taos March 14-20th. Been on my list to get to. Looks to be in decent shape right now with some chances at more snow before then.

Conditions were pretty good in the Northeast for a few weeks in a row then things have gone downhill since then to end February. The west is getting dumped on and Tahoe buried in (6-10ft) of snow. The Northeast and lower New York and lower Vermont desperately need to be SNOW dumped on. Here are some of the open mountains in North America and a tasting of what is considered open terrain with Trail counts this point in the season "week 18" around North America. These are considered lift serviced trails at some of the open ski mountains on Sunday 3/3/24. Hike to your delight for more trail fun.

NEXT weekend around 3/10/24 the NORTHEAST has a shot at SNOW. SNOW I say.

That would be awesome as I'm scheduled for Loon next weekend.

Meanwhile I'm drooling about what's going on at the condo in Granby. The 16th can't come quick enough.

They switched those Thurs/Fri forecast I saw quickly - terrible

Tell me abt Granby? Indy pass and was saving Cannon, Waterville and Jay for spring break with my son 3/29 - 4/1 but this weather just sucks - thinking of doing an audible and heading to Colorado and doing Granby for sure and possibly Sunlight

The ski area at Granby runs on a limited schedule. They usually don't open till mid December (Dec 10th I think this past season) and close early compare to the bigger resorts nearby. This year I think closing will be Easter Sunday the 31st. I'm not sure about Sunlight but I bet they may shut down around the same date.

It's not a bad place but its best used as a place to avoid crowding on the front range busiest days. People do vacation there as there are some nice homes and condos with skiing access. My experience has been lots of Kansas people spring breaking there. We have found it a really nice place own at.

TY for the info. I'm going to see if there are any changes in the weather pattern here and think about it.
