Right where I want to be
Jay is near-100% open this weekend. If they truly were lying about their snow totals, that wouldn't be the case while Stowe is half open and Bolton is 2/3 (and they're very laissez-faire with openings).

To be clear, I don't doubt that they're picking favorable locations to report snow from. But they've had an incredible early season.
Most of the 1/3 of Bolton is at timberline which they haven’t started the lift running yet

Here is hoping that this weather forecast comes through with this much "SNOW" for Vermont and the Northeast. If the Temperatures come down fast enough It appears that VT has pretty colors in the 20"plus Snow range.

This Storm system flew through and did some coverage damage but added some heavy snow base up north. Minimal counter spin or backside action seen on any of the radars to this system. Northern Vermont and the New England area might see a few more inches today till later this evening.

Mount Snow was all liquid until about 7AM. I woke up at my condo about 6:30, looked out the window and saw it was still 35 and drizzling with no snow on the ground yet, looked at the radar and after reading the forecast and the chances of wind hold issues, decided to quickly pack up the condo and head home to CT before the roads had the chance to get sketchy as the cold and back end snow moved in.

A friend of mine, who is every the optimist about conditions, and is on the hill today, texted that "its better than he was expecting, but that his expectations weren't much today" and that there's maybe 1-2" of dense snow down so far. SoVT missed out on this one as the snow didn't start until around dawn, even at elevation

These “backside” events more often than not underperform. I was really hoping this was the exception, but no.

Yes, Maine didn't get any snow but we also didn't get the torrential rains initially forecasted. I was shocked to wake up with complete snow coverage at my house in Bethel this morning. So I'll take it for now, better than a complete eraser.

i am rooting for maine. ideally i wanna spend 12/26-31 at loaf and river. its hard for me to get up that far north on regular weekends. but i have hotels reserved in rutland, gorham, and tremblant and will decide when its clear where the skiing is at

Mountain Forecast website has gone a bit wonky with rainfall predictions lately. Calling for 16" of rain Sunday into Monday. Better get the ark ready.

Killington received 8", Sugarbush 12", Stowe 20"+, Smugglers Notch 20"+ and Jaypeak 20"+ out of this weeks early Monday storm and "mid-week" snow refreshers up north.

This Saturday 12/16/23 will be the best Vermont has to offer before this storm Sunday into Monday (12/17-12/18) makes a mess of what we have.
Stowe(66" total snowfall) is opening its Gondola and Jay peak(112" total snowfall) will be open with the most Snowpack on the east Coast and one of the best in the Country.

Lower Vermont and multiple Ski mountains are going to turn into ICE blocks with minimal trails and coverage leading into the Christmas Holiday from this storm. Northern VT will withstand it a little bit better but "
Ski the Ice coast" here we come.

Did a northern Ski mountain request a snowmaking pond fill up again? Gooooo SNOWMAKERS!!

It looks like it'll be warm and rainy all through the Xmas-New Year's stretch according to the GFS. Absolutely bizarre pattern, these types of storms shouldn't be all rain.

Mondays storm system on 12/18/23 will strip down most Northeast mountains to ice & nearly-bare trails with mostly man-made snow.

10 Day Upcoming Snowfall amounts. Most of the Northeast and Vermont are lacking upcoming Snow as in possibly "0"
