Flu shot

has anyone ever gotten flu like sympyoms from the flu shot

Yes. The one time I got a flu shot, I was sick for the next week.

I always get a flu shot and other than a bit of arm soreness I've never had any problems. Real influenza really sucks and can be dangerous. Occasionally, people do have flu like symptoms after the shot. These are generally pretty mild compared to real flu but can include head ache, body aches, and low fever. Symptoms are usually gone within 4 hours. Real influenza will really kick your butt and will keep folks down a week or more.

I been told I have a big muscle mass at one spot and it isn't at the arms.

Kidding aside. I got one a couple of weeks ago, no problems.

The way I look at it is the winter season is so short so any time on the hill is valuable. why blow it if you feel sick. And btw, I did go out one time when I was really sick, still had a great time but would have had a better time if I was feeling better.
