He's most likely assembling a kit, not fabricating all the parts. Although the sheer number of parts in the plane build dwarfs the number in the RC cat...

Yes, it is a kit, but he has to put every rivet in by hand.

He didn't end up using that anyway. He decided to build the whole thing from scratch.

Those Pisten Bullys (at least the first one) are 1:43 scale, the Kyosho Blizzard is 1:12 scale. The plow would have been way to small. I don't think he was looking for the easiest way to do this anyway.
