yup, separate days, weather was kind of shaky so we hit Tecumseh (off Tripoli Rd. exit 31 rt. 93) which was just down the road from out site at Russell Pond. Nice hike, about 2000' of vert., the dirt path was a welcome change from the solid granite we're used to up that way. Aaron and I did an out and back to the summit. An enjoyable, fairly remote hike with a steady climb but great footing. 6 miles roughly, about 3 hours, maybe 3.5 we spent.
The first full day up there we did the Franconia Ridge loop. I guess it's a classic and it's easy to see why. We went up the Falling waters trail, then hit Liberty, Lincoln, and LaFayette, before coming down the Greenleaf trail to Bridle path. Took a lot of pix. 7 hours including lunch.
Third day we did some flat trail for a bit (Hancock Pass?) then summit-ted Washington the smart way:flame:....if you get through all the pix. you'll learn the proper way to summit Washington too;-)
