Funny/Cute kid skiing related stories

A bunch of us have kids of various ages who are skiing or starting to ski. My daughter did something very funny on Sunday, which I'm about to share . . . But I also want to hear other stories if you've got them.

Yesterday my 4 yr old is walking around the house talking on a play cellphone. It seems like the usual 4 yr old chatter until she comes walking near the kitchen, where I am with my wife. 4 yr old talking to real or imaginary friends on phone "What do you want to do? Ok, I'll get my stuff and we can meet at the chair lift." My wife and I look at each other and crack-up laughing.

We've been up to Wachusett a few times recently to hit ski sales, the Celtic fest and to pick up my pass so skiing is on her mind, but that was totally out of the blue.

I was holding our 13 week old son and walking around our bedroom. I caught him staring at something in the corner. I walked over so he could get a closer look. He reached out and started touching my skis that were sitting in the corner. The next day I had him on the changing table and caught him staring at the center of my chest. I leaned in and he touched the logo on my shirt. I was wearing my Life Is Good skiing shirt. The kid knows where its at.

My 20 month old probably says 100 words. "Ski" and "moguls" are among them!

All the way home from my first family ski trip to Okemo, my son Michael, about 7 years old, was singing a little ditty he made up. Something like "Bing bung bung bung bing, bing bung bung bung bing, skiing . . . is fun." He grew up to be a songwriter. Perhaps I should say an aspiring songwriter: www.myspace.com/michaelhunter
