Gear Advice for New Snowboarder

Hi guys-

My husband just started snowboarding last season, and is looking to pick up a board, boots and bindings that aren't too expensive (he's new to this so he doesn't need anything high end while he's just starting out), but also wont fall apart on him in a month. Any advice on some gear he can beat on for the next couple of years while figuring this sport out would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Keep your eyes posted on Steep and Cheap if you're in no rush. They have at least one board up there weekly.

The real suggestion though is to do anything in your power to convince him that snowboarding isnt for him... ;-)
