maybe day number 35 on thursday at kmart pending good weather, hard to call right now. mostly sunny up in StJ right now, weird! once the weather drys out and snow is gone, i have plenty of post work hiking options 15 minutes north east of the college in lake willoughby area and franconia notch is within a 30 minute drive. weekends are reserved for the girl friend since we're at a distance until august, but mid-week was made for the mountains when you're this close!

what the GF doesn't hike. Not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. I like that my wife hikes and skis, but i can see plusses if she didn't.

the g/f hikes. next season, she'll be a skier but she certainly isn't quite at the same level of conditioning as me, so smaller and easier hikes are the order of business for the weekend whereas i can do more 4+ hour hikes during mid-week. especially involving sunsets and evening hours. i love it, gives her the creeps though. well, it gives me the creeps sometimes too but that's part of the fun
