It looks like Friday will be my last day of post-whoring for awhile.

Saturday morning I'm driving down to Washington DC to visit my sister and brother in law. Then on Sunday we're driving down to Lake Anna VA and meeting my parents. They rented a house on the lake for the week and my parents dog and sisters dog are coming as well. Has anybody been to Lake Anna? It's a big manmade lake and I plan on playing 3 rounds of golf down there with my Dad. One course we're playing at has a 800 yard par 6. My Dad also has a seakayak that I want to tool around with on the lake and of course I'm going to drink alot of beer and have a few safety meetings because you can never be too safe. So most likely I won't be back post-whoring until I'm back at work on July 7th...hopefully I can find an internet cafe or something...

Just a heads up so you guys don't think I died..lol

What the hell am I going to do now for entertainment ??? Who am I going to pick on now ?? Steeze Boy is going to have to appoint a substitute GSS for me in his absence...I am suffering symptoms of GSS withdrawal already thinking about this ... I think a special secret session of the NNEMCGSSFC needs to be called to order to deal with this emergency..

Hopefully my sister lets me use her IPhone..but typing on a phone is so freaking slow..

There's a par 6 on a course in Marshall's Creek, PA, that I played when I still played. It's a 36 hole track called "Mountian Manor". The par 6 is the second hole on the "Silver" course.

The place was more appropriately called "Mound Of Manure".

I think he's all trained for the job.
Though, I can think of others more worthy of such an esteemed position.:dunce:

Well, if you can get home in 2 you'll have a putt for a double eagle. I'd speculate it's not a very interesting golf hole. Used to play a course with a 660 yard par 5, slightly uphill, and no real corner that you could cut off. Wide fairways and not much to get into trouble. Could have landed a 747 on that fairway. Really not a well designed hole. I'm guessing the 800 yard par 6 is similar, just 1 shot longer.

Here is a description of the course with the par-6..I assume it's measured from the Championship Black/Blue tees and I play from the Whites due to my handicap.

I'd be happy to get there in 4 and two putt for par. 250 off the tee..200 yard second shot...another 200 yard shot for good position and then a wedge at the green..If it's downhill and wide..getting on in 3 is possible for longer hitters..

The course at Meadows Farms is often described as “gimmicky.” I have to tell you that I didn’t find it that way at all. In fact, I loved Meadows Farms. Aside from its three nine hole courses that can be played in three eighteen-hole combinations, it also has a par 4 warm-up hole – talk about Mulligans. And there’s more: The Guinness Book of World Records certifies Meadows Farms’ 841-yard, par 6, as the longest hole in the U.S. The fairways are generous, the greens are large, and the bunkers are, well… interesting, to say the least. The Waterfall Hole must be one of the most beautiful par 3s anywhere (see the image at top right).

I have only played one hole of golf in my entire life and that was in college .. I scored a 26 on the first hole a par 3 .. I went back to the club house and never been on a golf course again since that day ...

Did you give up as easily when learning too ski/ride. I think not. Lest your handle would be OldNOboarderMe.
I know where you are coming from though, until last year if it didn't take place in winter, on the water, in the dirt, through the air, across asphalt and at a high rate of speed . I didn't consider it worthy of my time. Then I got bit, HARD.
Besides, it's the only way you get to legally drink and drive without going to Cancun.
