If it doesn't call for a plate Systems are dead! Systems work great on race skis and carving skis but only because of the plates/lifters. Once you are flat mounted Systems are passé.

I remember back when "parabolic" skis came out, some guys were machining lifter blocks out of aluminum to get more lift.

If you are looking for a better Monster, look to Nordica's new flat Hot Rods, they are Monster 78 and 82's with a personality. Damn sweet skis and IMHO a much nicer ski than the XBS Hot Rods.

Once you go flat you never go back... at least I didn't. I skied a Head and Nordica with a system. After I busted a piece on the Nordica binding I had to ski my powder ski with flat mounted Barons. When I switched back to the Nordica I didn't like the feel of the binding, the extra height (at least I perceived a change in height), and or the weight. The Nordicas are going to the ski swap to help pay for the Watea 84s I had mounted with a Solomon binding. The Watea with the Solys are longer and fatter than the Nordica but are noticeably lighter.

wateas are lighter than a lot of other skis...but they still hold on the hard stuff...good combo

Saucer boy!

There was a young woman dressed as a "Saucer Boy", with a handle of Jack screaming to get into the Olympic Bar. She finally rushed the door, swinging both fists, and the handle of Jack. As we all had quite a bit for ourselves, it became more funny as the spectical went on! After 4 bouncers showed up, she quasi passed out and was carryed from under the arms and her feet like an old sack of potatoes! LMAO! At my age, 47 I can't remember the last time I saw a bouncer let alone had an encounter with one. When we finally left the bar to catch our cab, she was propped up on a bench outside Tom O'Neil's place Bar Zenbu. She looked like a silver painted scarecrow! Hair sticking straight up, spralled all over the bench. I shouldn't laugh at other's miss fourtune, but hey sometimes you get what is comming to you! :snow:HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
