I would pick a non ski industry career. At least in my case you end up skiing more.

Unless you decide to compete, in which case you'll ski and work out year round. Then the skiing will be your job.

Of course, if you talk to a pro skier they'll probably tell you all the things they hate about skiing all the time. The grass is always greener I guess.

BTW, Austin- you got #4 wrong. The correct answers are:
A) Woodlice
B) "We've struck crumpet!"
C) A shrew
D) The Battle of Trafalgar

Do try a little harder next time.

I don't think Austin is breaking the politics rule. He's just letting us know that his history teacher is giving his political views to his students, which is something I never do. When asked by my students what my views are, I usually tell them that it's not my job to push my views on them; it's my job to give them the most accurate information possible and encourage them to come up with their own decisions. Anyway, what SHOULD you be learning in history this year austin? Freshman? .... Global? Sophmore ..... European? I don't think an upperclassmen yet from what you've told us.

Good lord, nothing about the 40+ years in betwen? Span-Am war? Mexican Revolution? Panama Canal?

WWI is good to start with though. Intersting stuff to keep your attention.

Remember the Maine!

I took a "History of Modern Civilization" COurse in college, which started at 1783 (the course, not my college career). The professor had no idea why. Couldn't have been the whole Maerican and French Revolutions, the start of rule by law and true democracy, or anything, could it? I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the proff after that.
