Took Jester for the large breed dog walk today. This was a great experience on many levels.
Because of his age, he was the smallest dog in the group(or should I say pack?).
(it was hard to get good pics because the dogs are constantly moving)

One particular dog singled Jester out and picked on him. His name is Tuesday and he's a 7 mo old Great Dane. Tuesday wrestled with Jester and let him know that he'd be happy to show him around, which ended up being great fun. I had anticipated that Jester would hang with my sisters dogs but he ended up becoming bestest buddies with Tuesday.

As we came in for the home stretch on this walk it became obvious, Jester is dwarfed in size(for the moment) by these other dogs, but he's not dwarfed in spirit.

Looks like fun! Great Danes are cool and they think they are lap dogs.

That is so great! Pre-kids, I used to go on dog walks with an appraiser who came in where I worked and her friends. My poor pup was the smallest (cocker spaniel while all the others were labs and retrievers) but she had fun. We even did a puppy play date one time at a dog training facility where they let us play with the agility stuff.

Glad to hear Jester is having a great time!

I got home a little before 8PM. Jester promptly came in the house and plopped in front of the sofa, sound asleep and hasn't moved or twitched a bit.

Between the dog walk, the exciting trip to Petsmart, and a visit to Grandma's house, I think I did him in, but....he picked out a cool new toy at pet smart! So he's a happy puppy.

I took Jester to obedience school last night.
There were 16 dogs in the class and will be split into two class'

Because he was the youngest puppy in the class, he was used as an example of a puppy with a short attention span. This trainer uses praise and treats to promote obedience, so Jester got lots and lots of treats!!!
He Loves Class!!!

Grassi, my sister has two great danes and a weimeraner. They are extremely gentle and obedient.
The only down side is short life span and big land mines in the yard. ;)

In our house we call clearing the land mines "poop sweeping." Its a total pain with 2 weims. I couldn't imagine 2 danes and a weim fertilizing the lawn. :-o

My sister has gone to great pains to have a "tall grass" area of the fenced in back yard that is the doggie bathroom, which leaves the remainder of the back yard for .......ummmmmm, entertaining.

I was fairly amazed at how clean her yard is, but she took a lot of time training the dogs to go "there"

I wish we could do that. Instead I get angry notes from the neighbor upstairs if I forget to pick up and one of her kids steps in it. Then again, we have a cocker spaniel. It's not like she makes a huge mess. ;)

He are our boys. They are Mini-Aussie. The black tri is Boomer, the smart one. The blue merle is Bode(acts like him too) is the nut case as you can tell by the pick. You can get him to hollow on command.
