I tried to ski Mt. Peter in NY on Monday afternoon in the warm sun. Did two short runs and quit. The snow was like glue, virtually unskiable. And this is two days after 3 feet of fresh.
They gave me a voucher for another day which I'll use this weekend as the temps are now getting colder overnight.

It gets warm in March. But as was mentioned, daytime highs in the 40's don't do that much damage. Natural snow will get sticky and often times un-fun, but the groomers will be fine. Don't worry too much about it and just ski. No need to overthink it.

I guess it's safe to take my snow tires off for the season. lol.

Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don't turn it off! It wasn't my war! You asked me, I didn't ask you! And I did what I had to do to win! But somebody wouldn't let us win! And I come back to the world and I see all those maggots at the airport, protesting me, spitting. Calling me baby killer and all kinds of vile crap! Who are they to protest me? Who are they? Unless they've been me and been there and know what the hell they're yelling about!

So that's what he says. I just heard grunting after the second "Nothing!".

everyone tooled on newdaddy for asking about conditions today. well his fears werent too far off... i heard that killington and stowe both were great yesterday, but today both reports i got were that the snow set up firm on most trails. (thaw freeze cycle)
its going to be sunny and warm this wknd so skiing should be soft and spring like but the powder bumps are gone until it snows again

Especially considering the first two responses basically answered his question by saying that the snow is holding up fine.

the 2nd post states it looks fine from a webcam. They weren't asking if there was snow on the ground. I'm sure that webcam will tell you alot about how the snow is skiing with the thaw/freeze

Seriously, 4 plus feet of snow last week. Forecasts predict snow showers, cold nights, and sunny days.

What exactly could one say either today or yesterday that would have any real impact on his decision for the weekend?

Why don’t you give these out to some of the boys in lieu of pay?
