I can't post virtually anything around without this clown chasing in some fashion - but apparently since he's breathed "life" in your forum it's OK.

Cool - enjoy your steeze- you deserve it.

You could very easily just not read his posts, or add him to your ignore list. The mere fact that you can't peacefully coexit with someone with a different personality doesn't speak well for yours...

5 miles from the long trail head in the notch. 5 miles from the bolton/trapps in Nebraska valley.
Those are my 2 main areas. 30 minutes to eden and the fun BC line in the wrx. 30 minutes to Harwick and the fun hardwood glades out there. 45 minutes to J, bolton, MRG, Bush/Breadloafs, Burke. Can't wait for skiing...

lol, if ski days count only if you ski 8 hours, i'd have to divide my total pathetic numbers by 4.

and i'm not gonna do that so i'll stick to the 1 run counts as a day method.

If I have to ski for 8 hours to call a day of skiing a "ski day", then I happily have very few days a year. That being said, I got some GREAT runs in yo yoing insignificant terrain. Big vert. You should come skiing up here. Bring your skins. We'll do a nice dawn to dusk tour, which is only about 9 hours up here in winter. This is really a NE-centric place. Maybe you have no place here. You should be on the TGR forum. Lots of skiiers of your caliber over there.

I'd be happy just pose in the gondola line with all my latest and greatest gear at Stratton,

Sounds like a gaper. Wow I haven't looked at this thread in a while but it sure got amusing. If I drove the 10 minutes to Campgaw and did one run on its 270' vertical I still would count it as a ski day. If I could only count days where I ski 8 hours then I have 0 ski days since I was a teenager, a couple of decades ago.

One word - Steamboat. 1.5 hours from the i-70 madness.

Took the kids there for their break this year as we're all tree skiers. Max 10 minute lines, but after 11am, ski right on the lift - went to Vail one day - up to 30 minutes was the norm, but a bit shorter in Blue Sky.

Nothing that will scare you silly, but good terrain all around (and those trees.......)

Finally wasted 20 minutes of my life and went back and read this thread. Although I don't agree with the statements about last season in VT, I skied the best snow I had since 2001, I do agree about Steamboat. I did the I-70 tour last year, Vail, Breck, Copper and made it a day over to Steamboat and hands down Steamboat has it. I look forward to getting back there. Had one of the best runs of my life in "canyon land" or whatever it is called.
