Doug or Jim can confirm, but I believe they open the "mainline" first. Hellgate>Broadway>Eisenhower. That's how it was on their 2nd day last year iirc. They may have had gunhill open as well.

First run open is HBK...Hellgate, Broadway, Kennedy.

I'm going up in boots and googles tomorrow if there's some significant increase or change -- those snowguns were aimed right at the lift top and there was no way to get out of the chair today. The guns are all going though, there's a pretty good cover as you can see.

Yeah, as I said I was in Boston this weekend so dmc beat me to the board!

I'm hearing Thursday or Friday for opening, we're still concerned about how warm it is...if it gets colder and we get the quad running we could be open by Thurs, but as you've seen most resorts are shooting for Friday/Saturday.

Well I'm out of town this week so I'm counting on you now...

Snowguns turned on just as we started burning skis and boards at Perfect Lift on Saturday.. :)

That's what Keith told me yesterday, and that the guns went off shortly after you guys closed up Ullrfest.

It was weird sitting in The Pro and being the only customers there all afternoon.

I should have gone up with my wife to get her new boots. Sounds like it would have been a good time to go.

the previous day the place was packed... But mostly with "Powderhounds" getting their tele boots fitted...

I waited to get my new liners fitted...probably will regret it, but both Peter and I were hungry and I didn't think he would have the patience to wait after we got all of his new stuff.

I got some new stuff too...a Giro 10 helmet and those Goode adjustable poles. Still getting used to the look of the Giro, but I already love the light weight and the numerous vents that all open/close with one switch. Plus my goggles fit that helmet perfectly.

Interesting to see the approach of slowly working down the mountain versus trying to blow top-to-bottom. I guess that gives you more capacity up top. Hoping for the weekend!

I think the concept is to start at the top and make it down to the F chair.. that way if worse comes to worse - we can upload and download on the quad and use the F chair for runs...

Have they ever taken this approach? I thought Jessica indicated it was frowned upon...

It's really not an optimal way to run, but I think at this point that's what's going to happen. Accuweather says it's going to warm up (even up to 50), so I think we are going to send people up for summit to mid-level skiing at F-lift. It's a pain and there are some safety risks (as you can imagine having only certain areas groomed), but at this point with the crappy weather there's not much of a choice.
