I was looking at a Terraserver image of the Hunter West area. It looks like the liftline for the future expansion has already been cut:

If the Catskills get the snow, is that strip at all skiable? Has anyone done it? dmc? JimG.?

It's all over grown... We'd need a few feet to ski it... It's been skied in the past..
But it hasn't been maintained...

Well, get out your DR Field and Brush Mower and clean it up!

What dmc said...lots of puckerbrush, especially the lower half. A little dangerous without alot of snow.

I think it was "Mad Box"

That's what I was going to say; then I thought it might be "Drop In".

Then I thought it might be a trail over on Hunter 1 like "West Side Glide".

Then I realized I have no clue.

Been around a while too... Remember it was the first attempt at a terrain park about 10 or so years ago..

I remember...but I also remember that it was cut not too long before they tried to make it a terrain park. Seems like a recent addition.

I think I know why, look at the plan for Hunter....that cut doesn't fit into it, because they now have the new lift going off at an angle from the current base of Hunter West.

As far as skiing that cut goes, I know there is a website somewhere that exposes it and has pics of it and of people skiing it., but I can't remember the name of it.
