Hunter's opening tomorrow (Thanksgiving). F-Lift, possibly C-Lift/Hunter One, possibly summit to base skiing, 4 trails probably. 8:30-4pm, $38 (you get a $10 coupon valid any day throughout the season with the purcase of a lift ticket). Mid-season passes can be used through Friday.

Call the snow phone for more info throughout the day, I don't have time to write the whole thing here but I'm going to post some photos in the blog and the Podcast will be up tonight.

I'm going to try to get up on the quad today, there is a ton of activity up here. Check back for more.

I hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving. I can't wait to sit in Jersey traffic tonight, woo hoo.

Get nice and sore so we can keep up with you on Saturday!

Don't remind me...the unavoidable soreness after the first day out.

Try as I might to find routines that mimic skiing, there's nothing like the real thing is there?

I disagree Jim. My "Skier's Edge Machine" does an incredible job in that regard. No "first day" pains at all! Unfortunately, due to the sale of my house and the resultant packing and moving of stuff into storage over the last four weeks I have lost had access to it. I am compensating with time at Gold's Gym by running and doing lots of work on the various leg and ab machines. I'll let you all know if it worked for me after three days in UT next week.

I'm almost afraid to ask.

Pardon my ignorance...what is that?

haha, my friend john asked me the same thing today after seeing this post. he thought it was a C ring.

its a titanium necklace that helps speed up mustle healing time as well as increase athletic performance. i dunno if you are a baseball fan or not but you see a lot of baseball players wearing them now as well as golfers, similar to those bracelets they wear for wrist pain. you can read about them here, they really work.
