forgot to metion, if you plan on buying one stay away from their website, they are way over priced there. local sporting goods stores have them for less and even better deals can be had on ebay.

I was gonna head up there, but the weather.com website said it was raining at the mountain. Didnt feel like skiing in the rain today.

Well, the rain is over. From what I hear (I was in NJ, so I'm not sure), we didn't get much anyway. Clear skies and REALLY warm the next few days -- we'll see how that goes.

Ah, but...

...today was pretty good actually. Wet and eroded by the end of the day, but not so bad. Not sure what we're doing tonight as far as blowing snow...the forecast scares me. All was good at 50 degrees today though.

Great 2 days!! Can't wait to get out again for a couple hours....
Only real rock issues were on Hellgate - easily avoidable... Tons of snow a midstation.. Top to bottom skiing with the F chair option is nice..

Luckily I got out on Hellgate before there was any rock or dirt visible. Kennedy was a bit of a mess though. We didn't blow snow last night so who knows what it's going to be like today. Hellgate has a thick base, so no worries on that I guess.

The morning patrol report -- Frozen Granular, Loose Granular, Hard Packed. Not bad...no thin cover mid to summit. The base lowered a bit but we're still looking good. We'll see what the afternoon report says.....

Those trails aren't open today. We're going to try to open them for the weekend but we didn't open them this morning.

True - but they probably will be next to open...

I'm procrastinating going out to ride... It's friggin cold out...

It was really cold at Hunter this moning. Add those snow guns into the mix and look out... I did have a great time on my first trip to Hunter and my first day of the season. Unfortunetly my new boots made me pack it in early.
