SD, you ski at Hunter? Are you a regular?

I'll be there on Sunday, give a shout if you're gonna be there.

the family (Tyrolean_skier, the 2 kids and myself) are planning on going up on Sunday.

We're hoping to hook up with DMC so he can show us around. Maybe we can hook up with you too?

We're killington regulars - haven't skied anywhere else for a few years. I know the kids are looking forward to trying something different. IceMan ( 8 ) is looking for new hucks... and trees...

I'm sure we could work something out, that would be nice. The hucks will be there, but the landings might be foul with all this expected warm weather.

Won't do any good for the trees either...they still weren't ready last weekend.

Actually, K will be nice. There's plenty of snow on it and with the warm temps predicted it should be outstanding.

Hey, just watch the run out at the bottom run out....It can bite. (it bit me)

That's the exactly where I crashed when I went to Huntah earlier this year. K27 was in beautiful shape...but the snow whales on the runout were killer ice. I learned that the hard way after launching off one of them.

Either way, you'll love that trail and want more and more and more of it. It's a great steep!

if you've heard anything about me and my ankle lately, thats where I did it.

Top was in nasty. disgusting shape (just the way I like it) Tore that up like it was nothing and got to the beutiful corduroy on the bottom. I was flowing some nice GS turns when next thing I know, I was rolling down the hill with only one ski on. I still don't know how it happened.

It' been so long since I've been to Hunter that I can't even remember what it's like. How does it compare to something like Devils Fiddle at K?

The steep part is alot shorter; fairly long runout at the bottom; no cliff section like on the fiddle.

But the lower K27 headwall is steep, and in some parts, for very short stretches, very steep.

Beautiful corduroy...that stuff will get you every time!

Gotta watch out for that groomed crap.

Do you know DMC and ESki? Let's all try to meet up. We'll have our radios tuned to the KZone channel...

BTW - I'm like REALLY excited to be skiing Hunter. It's been quite a while. I'm also psyched to have the kids try out something duifferent - they've got tons of days in on K but practically nothing else. I know Iceman is totally stoked......

Yup, but I got no radio. I'll be free after 9:30 after I drop my sons off for their seasonal programs. We can determine a meeting place in the next few days.
