Since I've moved to upstate NY... I've been getting more of Canadian quarters...

I thik it's all part of Canadian plan to pr-emptively invade teh US. Soon, every vending machine in America will be jammed by Canadian quaqrters. Then, while our people are thirsty and feeling a touch peckish, and all our best scientists are trying to fix the soda machines, the Canadians will attack. It won't be pretty as wave after wave of Suicide Moose sweep across the border.

The Alps! This happened at West Mtn several years ago. (Well, sometime in the 90's anyway.) I think the skiers were "rescued" sometime during the night.

Not that this is the same thing, but I had a friend on the double at Silverton, CO, when the lift broke down. He and a buddy were dangling 150 feet above the ground in the cold for two hours. Finally, patrol hooked the lift up to a F350 truck to get everybody off! I guess I'm lucky never to have had a major lift incident.
