Feels just like 2007. Never forget how terrible December and January were, then all those memories wiped away by the Valentines storm, the St. Patricks storm, and the seemingly neverending storm in April.

Hopefully, even if this storm brings rain, it finally shifts the pattern so these storms start moving a bit further east. It worked in 2007, hopes are high for this spring too.

No need to jinx it. I now declare winter 2011-2012 officially over. Spring skiing starts in February this year. Memorial Day will be moved up to April 29 because of lack of cold. Haven't you heard?

No way. Winter is just getting started. This was posted on the Sugarloaf Daily Reports page.

The picture of Gondi Line shows the summit of Burnt Mountain in the background. Those are the snowfields above Brackett Basin.

A nice solid base now. Bracket should be sweet on the next storm!

I want sunny and 50s everyday in February. That's my attempt at tricking the weather gods since they usually give me the opposite of what I want.
The good news is my snowblower's engine blew yesterday so we're bound to get raped with snow. Not looking forward to shoveling but maybe my snowblower's misfortune is exactly what we needed.
