...it will be Thanksgiving Day. Who do you think will be open for skiing by then?

most larger resorts with a good budget(unless $hitty weather). what's that 22 week forecast looking like?

seriously-i think one of the resorts will make a statement by laying some early snow, and i don't think it will be killington. maybe s.r. maybe attitash, sugarbush, loon. or god forbid bretton woods.

If the weather is good then I'll be skiing the ol' hill of home at Wachusett the day after. If not, I think Mount Snow is a good bet.

Agreed. And I think it will be Mount Snow.

I'd say SR, although...while I hate K's new plans, they do seem to want to be open for Thanksgiving, so don't count them out entirely.

Hunter will probably be open as well by then, or soon after if we get some reasonably cold temps for a few days.

Unless it's another season like last year, plenty of places will be open for Thanksgiving. Doesn't anyone shoot for Halloween anymore? :-( That used to be the early season mark.

I know Killington's new management is planning to shorted the season with a mid-April close bit I got to think they will open by Thanksgiving.

Sugarbush will be open by Thanksgiving unless there's an extreme warm-up in early November. Summit Ventures has had Mount Ellen open by Thanksgiving every year since they've owned it (that I can remember at least).
