It's no secret that many actual ski area reps frequent this forum. We've set up a special group which will help identify them a bit. Please note that all who are part of this group have specifically given us permission to identify them. Therefore, if there are any ski area representatives out there that are still "under cover" that would like to be identified, please send me a private message; although I think for the most part, I've contacted you already about it. Similarly, if you prefer to remain incognito, that's okay too. Please join my in welcoming these (some new, some old) industry folks to the forum. They are an invaluable source of "real" information.

Thanks to all the reps that have been contributing to date. The information you bring to the table combined with the ability to manage our expectations has been fabulous. I hope more reps catch on and join in.

Just curious, are you labeling only ski resort reps or does that include ski manufacturer reps as well?

Excuse me, but what are Threecy's qualifications to be a SKI industry rep?

I'm curious, because he's talking like he works at a ski area or something. All I can see in his profile is that he is 24 years old and has a nice website about hiking.

I'm a bit concerned, because he claims to be some sort of knowledgeable SKI industry insider....but it's pretty apparent that he's not?

Can someone please clarify this for me?

Thank you.

He has experience in the industry both as a resort employee and a consultant. I believe that is all he prefers to reveal. He is an insider. He posts as a person of knowledge. I know you have just started to freqent this board. He has added insight and info that is not accessible at other places.. Take what he has to say with some value.

I actually sent him apm a couple of weeks ago. I said its obvious you are in the industry what do you do and from where? You know too much to just be postingwhat you do. . that was the jist.

If you have any questions about things I've said, I'll be more than happy to discuss via PM.

I think it's only fair to point out that just because his profile doesn't mention his position in the industry doesn't mean he's not an insider. Since when did we all have to pour our entire life's story into our profiles?

Again, feel free to take it up with threecy directly in a PM for specifics. I will confirm he's worked in a marketing capacity for a Northeast ski area. I know this because I've worked with him for several years on various advertising campaigns. He's legit.

As threecy has volunteered, and others have said, this query would be best answered in a PM dialogue and not in a "call out" fashion.

I've been away. Could someone point mt to the post(s) that made this thread necessary or better yet just tell me way?

No specific post or posts made this necessary. AZ simply has a growing contingent of industry reps participating and this was one way to help users easily identify them. It adds a bit of credibility to AZ.
