A message from Doug Fish

Dear Passholders,

When we first conceived the Indy Pass in 2018, there was a glaring need for an affordable pass to access the hundreds of great independent resorts across North America.

Going into our fifth season, the growth and widespread acceptance of the Indy Revolution has been highly gratifying. Today, tens of thousands enjoy 139 exceptional resorts from Maine to Japan. As those ski areas have banded together in the face of corporate consolidation, we are all standing together to support independence.

The future of Indy Pass is bright if we have the resources to stay committed to our original mission. To help us stay competitive with the mega passes, I’m proud to announce the acquisition of Indy Pass by a long-time trusted partner who runs the technology platform that Indy Pass has always been built on. Entabeni Systems will help us achieve our goals without compromising our ideals.

Entabeni is a 100% ski-focused, small business that provides technology solutions for dozens of independent ski resorts across North America. I will continue to manage the Indy Pass, but now with the vast technical resources of Entabeni behind us.

The list of benefits to our passholders and resorts from Entabeni’s commitment is significant, and I encourage you to read the note from Entabeni below.

I want to thank you for your incredible support and wish you nothing but perfect turns.

Stay Stoked,

Not really surprised. I've had this pass since its inception and it's been fun to watch it take off. I expected at some point it would be sold or combined with another partner.

Looking forward to the RFID card but the probable loss of Jay will be a bummer
I'd think Burke would go full if Jay goes away, but who knows. I'm thinking there's too many redemptions this season for a good payout considering the announced limited sales and no spring pass. Hopefully I'm wrong. Also hoping the price increase isn't too steep.

Maybe we’ll gain ragged. Not thinking it will happen but…
Skiing Jay yesterday (and it was awesome) we were talking about this exact thing. One of these two things will likely happen. If Ragged got on the pass then I’ll probably buy again, even with the price increase. I didn’t have to try hard to get my money’s worth this season.

Skied Burke two days ago and will today also. They’re an Indy Pass affiliate mountain so it’s supposed to be half off but they did a funny thing with pricing.

Midweek tickets are now $45 for everyone. The half off for Indy Pass people is only half off the full price of $89 (weekend price), so if you use your Indy pass during the week you pay $44.50, which is a 50 cent savings. Must make them more $ this way.

The Terry Peak SD people seem very happy with the Indy deal. Said they had a good number of people doing a similar trip. Terry, Red Lodge. Meadowlark, Antelope Butte and Sleeping Giant (allied). If you can get a few in a certain area it seems to help them all out.

Per Indy FB. Jay confirmed for 23-24. We know Snow Valley is going Ikon. Interesting to see how next season shapes up.

Wonder if that means there's a chance that Ragged will hop on board.

I was surprised to see the Entabeni RFID system at Antelope Butte the other day. The mountain was only recently resurrected by a non-profit, so I wasn't expected RFID cards. The system was like all the others where it takes some time to get a card set up initially, so the line moved a bit slow. The ones that you can do online and pick up at a kiosk are nice. Though the one at Snowy Range wasn't working properly yesterday and we had to go to guest services, they quickly printed a card and didn't need any info except the bar code. The kiosk did work fine the weekend before. I'll have mixed feeling if the Indy Pass starts working automatically at a lot of places. On one hand, it will be nice to skip the lines, on the other, I like to collect lift tickets.

According to the Indy website, Cannon is blacked out weekends through Sunday, March 12th. People complaining may not have read the website and were trying to book blacked out weekends?
You may want to double check the date you reserved or call them to verify that you can use it this weekend.

It’s not blacked out for the plus pass, which I have. The Facebook gapers couldn’t comprehend needing to go to their Indy pass account to pull a customer code that cannon requires to link to your reservation. It’s all very simple if one takes 2 minutes to read.

I did not realize the base pass restriction ends after this weekend. That makes my choice to go sat even stronger. Before the Indy hordes on 3/17 weekend.
