PGRI had purchased Jay prior to this season, but agreed to keep it on Indy. Who knows what they'll do this year?

Holding onto Jay blurs the lines a bit for Indy. PGRI is every bit as corporate an operator as Boyne or POWDR. Jay is also, as of now at least, the only resort in their portfolio that participates in a major pass outside of their own network. There are other multi mountain groups on Indy, but they (AFAIK) have all their mountains participate on the pass. Silver/49N, Mission Ridge/Blacktail, Mt High/China Peak/Bear Valley, B.East/Catamount, etc.
Jay peak is definitely not independent anymore, don't know why the let them stay on Indy especially since they made other mountains leave for being associated with another pass. Kind of a double standard

Well Indy made resorts leave that were associated with other multi mountain passes they didn’t own. Jay is on a multiple mountain pass with areas owned by the same company.

Yea but being owned by a company that owns multiple mountains makes them not independent

How does that change anything? A PGRI pass holder that visits Jay with a Ragged pass sends $0 dollars to Indy. The exact same amount as a No Boundaries passholder visiting Dartmouth skiway (had Indy not strongarmed them off).

Jay is also a big boy that drives pass sales across the Eastern third of the country. Not the same as small hills that bring less to Indy while also promoting a directly competing pass product.

Biggest example is Cannon and Waterville on the White Mountain Super Pass. Erik basically admitted to me that they only enforce that rule when it benefits them.

Indy's Mogenson just posted an update on FB. Jay stays. Teasing new resorts announced tomorrow.
Email also sent say all New England areas have re joined. Renewed today, though I was hoping the kids price went a little older. My daughter is now 13, so that puts her in adult (or teen) for most multi passes.

Email from Indy

Last year, we renewed 104 out of 105 Alpine resorts, and by the time the season started, we were at a count of 185. This year, we are guaranteeing you at least 200 options on the pass, and here are some early details showing that we are well on our way:

A remarkable 97% of resorts have already been confirmed, and we are working through the remaining few. 100% of New England resorts are returning. Jay Peak, Waterville, Cannon, Pats Peak, Bolton Valley, Saddleback, Black Mountain, Catamount, Berkshire East, you name it. There are no big surprises at this point, and I think it was clear that Powder Mountain was going to move in another direction. We are still working with them on the final messaging and will backfill that area if needed.
