I’m loving this winter right now.
Agreed and I'm glad to hear that from the New Hampshire side as rumor has had it that NH and ME haven't faired as well as VT up to this point. My annual Loon trip is coming up so I have interest in seeing NH do well. This winter has provided some great flash backs to good winters past and good times spent skiing in Northern New England.

Nh and maine are getting on board now. Best winter I've had since returning east by far.

I think its true. Ragged was pretty icy a week and a half ago. Waterville was much better but could definitely have used some natural. I'm back up there again to Loon after my trip to Copper so fingers crossed.

I had pretty good conditions at Ragged on 23Jan. Gunstock is skiing very well and I skied stuff at BW this week that I don’t think has been open for a couple years.

Skiing Red Lodge, Snow King and Kelly Canyon on Indy this week!
Good timing with Cole Creek now open at Rock Dodge. If they have the whole area open, there's some really cool terrain back there and the bang for your buck on that lift is great (not so much on the triple from the base, unfortunately).

Loon today is probably the best I have ever skied it, just spectacular.
Are any of the woods open yet? Mike's Way or the other Walking Boss Woods North Peak? Love East Basin. We have really enjoyed our annual Loon trip over the years.
Anti-Indy...
Well I have to have an Ikon for Winter Park, Its the only pass they sell. So I take advantage of it :). While we really have it for out west we use it here too. Haven't gotten to Sugarbush yet this year but hit Stratton and Killington a couple of times and we consider the annual Loon trip a perk as well. Going to try an add an Indy to the arsenal next year (drop the local Pocono pass)

Skied Lost Trail today. Crazy crowd for a place in the middle of nowhere. First big powder day in a while apparently. Crowds died down quick and might be the best day of the year. Blacktail yesterday was also super nice. Fresh tracks all day. Indy pass redemption was super fast at Lost Trail, no Entabeni system there. Odd thing is season pass holders need to pick up a ticket every day. Indy/Powder Alliance/Online Purchase line was much shorter than that line. Took a lot longer to redeem at Blacktail, they have Entabeni, luckily we were the only ones on line. They really need to link up all the resorts that use that system, sucks to have go through the same long process at each area.

Montana Snowbowl tomorrow, then on to some Idaho T-bar places. Looks like were going to be very lucky time, one is opening Sat and one on Sun.

Looks like Ragged has the majority of the glades open, Whaleback still not a great amount. Think Ragged is the play Sunday and then I'll give Whaleback a look another day.

I'm looking forward to skiing a fully opened ragged sometime next week.

I skied Ragged today. The glades skied good, still thin on steeper pitches, but Sunday should be great with another 6-10. There were still a few ropes, but not many. Sunday should be wide open. I hadn't been there in years, and probably would not go back on a groomer only day as they are pretty limited, but it's a really fun place with the woods in play.

If you haven't skied Middlebury yet, you won't regret doing so this weekend. It is skiing spectacular right now and Bailey Falls just opened to all time conditions.

That's on my list for this winter as well. I won't have the opportunity to take these 3 days weekends in March that I've been taking recently, so that may be worth a day trip at some point then for me. For now it's hard to pass up Stowe on my longer weekends (especially when it's so dead there Mon/Tue and you can lap FourRunner to your heart's content) but I definitely want to check out Middlebury, Dartmouth, and Whaleback for the first time. Pretty much set on Ragged for this Sunday though.

Ragged question: is New Canada Rd good to drive on right now or is it some backwoods rutted up dirt road that I should avoid?

I drive it if it's frozen but my tolerance for bumpy dirt roads is high. Its.kind of a.piece of shit honestly but is quicker if you have decent suspension

Anti-Indy...
Since there’s no weather/condition related threads, it’s fair game for people to sprinkle their reports anywhere they happen to be reading/posting.

But I get it, anyone who had mega pass should be banned from having Indy pass. Or if they do, they should know shame and not bring it up to the face of the indy-fanatics.;)
