Which ski areas dropped off? So far I know of Montage PA, Sunrise AZ, Buck Hill MN (replaced with Hyland), Swiss Valley (not sure if it was on last year). Was Whitecap WI on there last year, maybe as Allied. Looks like Paul Bunyon might gone as Allied, it shows on the map but not the list.
Swiss Valley was Indy last year, the Perfect North sale has it moving to the Perfect pass.

This probably won't affect anyone on here, though, unless you're a completionist or happen to have family or business right by Swiss.

Ahh, I forgot about that, thanks. Swiss was nice when I was there, lodge looked a bit dated and could use some paint here and there. I bet they'll spiffy it up a bit.

Yeah, I was probably born with the completionist gene. I guess there's worse things to be.

Indy FB post today teasing "More new resorts being announced soon."
Aside from Smuggs, MRG, or Gunstock I’m not sure how it can be improved in the east at this point. Gunstock isn’t happening, and I wonder if MRG even wants additional skiers. I do wonder about Smuggs. More remote than the rest, I’d think they could use a boost. It’s impressive how well they do considering old lifts and location.

nyski3 or plattekill would be great. there's a catskill gap in the offerings.

i havent been to smuggs in a few years, and i love it, but the madonna line can get pretty annoying especially with the small loading area at the bottom of a steep hill. not sure how much more capacity they'd wanna take on a weekend. i could see them being restricted like cannon.

From the low-key teaser, I'm guessing it's nothing that big. A few more small resorts in Japan or Sweden maybe. I'd love to see them add Shymbulak in Kazakhstan, as I'm planning a visit in February.
NY3 isn't happening. Whiteface signed with Mountain Collective. I suppose Gore or the Belle could join individually though. For most of the population centers skiing the Cats, the Berkshires resorts are similar driving distance.

My mistake, I have a blind spot with NY, which I’ve never skied. Someday I hope to remedy that.

Bromley wouldn't be on Ikon and Indy at the same time.
Had to look this up … Bromley seems to have a weird one-way partnership with IKON where Bromley Unlimited Passholders have the opportunity to purchase a discounted 3-day IKON session pass for $199, but IKON passholders have zero access to Bromley, even though IKON passholders now get two days of access at the other two Fairbanks resorts Cranmore and Jiminy Peak.

Adding another Connecticut resort would really had value. Right now there is just Mohawk. Ski Sundown & Powder Ridge are not linked with anyone else. Both would be excellent additions and could make Indy a super CT pass. Also Bromley would be a good add because with nearby Magic it would make for an easy 4 day trip.

Huh that's strange, I figured Bromley was included in the Ikon as the other two properties are.

Not sure if that gives Indy any more of a chance but either way that's a weird setup.

Smuggs seems like the one Indy would want most for the East. It would really help Indy compete against iKon and Epic for the local Burlington market.
