I competed on a 5-person team in 2004. I did the ski leg.

Essentially it is a 10k from Storyland over Geln Ledge Road to attitash. A six 6.2 mile paddle down the saco to the Humphrey's ledge swimming hole . An 18-mile bike ride over Glen Ridge road and up 16 to pInkham. Then the hike into Tuckermans. Then hike up top the top of the GS ski course. Location of the GS differs year to year depending on conditions in the bowl.

It is fun time. Well being on a team. It would be very tiring as an individual.

here is a link to the 2006 handbook with a better trail description: http://www.friendsoftuckerman.org/infernopdf/activehanbook.pdf

I'll hike/ski or hike up the bowl. The only downfall is it is expensive.
How expensive are we talking? I'd probably be up for doing the biking leg if it isn't too much.

Last year it was $375 per team ($75 per person). $100 if you are doing the whole thing by yourself.

When I did the event in 2004 it was $500 per team and we were lucky enough to have our comapny pay the entry fee.

Post if your wiling to pay $100 to do this. If not then its not worth taking the next step. Sounds like fun. I would not be interested myself though.

Wow, I never knew the run/bike legs of this go right past my house at the top of Glen Ledge Rd. Guess I've never been there on those weekends.

If you are planning on doing it next year, I'd be willing to set up an AlpinZone table to provide refreshments roadside during the race, and could provide Apres in the bar in the basement afterwards.

Although, after 2 laps of Glen Ledge/Jericho Road, would anyone even want to come back up?
