Hey gang,
Went in on a group purchase of Intuition Liners. Have Garmont Endorphins(AT boot)...still have to hunt for a somewhat "Handy" cordless screwdriver...as changing soles(Vibram to Alpine) would involve the 6 screws...anyways, I have the Alpine sole on...walk-mode is a 50% positive step upward...so am still working on the sole aspect. The shells ski so well for me...this has been with doing the heatgun on the forefoot/toebox portion...BUT getting the perfect liner can be(with AT boots) a "work in progress"...HOWEVER! ...a word of note on Intuition's new PLUG thermo-fit liner(over-wrap design).(*They have 1 or 2? new "tongue" models as well) = has the "Right Stuff"..imho...in that it's still very well made..as in having the rugged outer surface, but is thinner overall(hence the "Plug" name...duh)...moreso in the lower "foot"(especially HEEL) part...but not too thin! *FIT: narrow heel/ankle/lower shin part and medium-width forefoot..which with footbed is nice and snug, not overly snug. Has a pseudo plastic tongue layered into the tongue-area of the overwrap... This standard(thicker) cuff part extends down past the anklebone and really fills in space extremely well, especially for we with narrower lower shin, ankle/achilles/heel" areas...BUT stays rather thick over the ankle, which I've found terrifically firm when left uncooked(along with the rest of the "foot" part.(but that's just me)
If anyone is having issues their liner(s) vs shell, you might wanna take a look at Intuition's bunch of liners....they've "stepped it up" as far as quality of fit.....not affiliated with them;-)...
