Actually had to turn the heat on in the office this AM for the first time this season to take the chill out of the air. Not much longer now!

Girlfriend just called me at work and says " It's fall!!!! It's nice and brisk out, feeling like pumpkin carving weather...and you know what that means.....winters almost here!"

It was definitely crisp out riding my bike to work this AM, had to throw on a hoody actually. I'll be hiking for some turns pretty soon, it's getting so close!

This morning was the first one in a while that I didn't have the car windows down while driving into work. :D

You know, maybe it's the fact that we're flirting with dipping into the 40's here before 10 pm, in the middle of September, but I have the feeling we're in store for one helluva epic winter. One that starts early, and goes late and is filled with consistent cold weather and lots of snow. Or maybe it's all the merlot I'm chugging tonight, a typical cool weather beverage for me. :lol: :oops: But whatever it is, it is coming! The epic winter of 2008-09!!!

Of course I feel this way ever year ([thread="16834"]2007[/thread], [thread="10292"]2006[/thread])...

Anyway, here is your offical get effin pumped thread!!!!

:snow: :spread: :daffy::daffy::spread::snow:

I hope you're right, since much of my skiing this year may be based out of southern Connecticut.

28 here at 7:00AM. Everything coated in frost. Not good for the lawn I just planted but ill get over that soon enough :smile: .

Soon enough that non germinating grass seed will have a nice coat of leaves which hopefully very quickly will be burried under FEET of snow for MANY months! By the time you see those suckers again, it will be so long from now that you would have completely forgotten all the labor you just put into it!

The delivery driver at work was wearing a puffy vest..it looked like a sleeping bag..lol..it's not that cold yet..but in the 60s outside now..and just 5 days ago..I had my AC cranked..I'm so stoked about this next ski season..aside from day to day life..all I can think about is skiing...In the skiing vs. Sex..skiing wins out hands down..
