This morning was the first one in a while that I didn't have the car windows down while driving into work. :D

New England Temperature Conversion Chart

60° F: Southern Californians shiver uncontrollably. People in New England sunbathe.
50° F: New Yorkers try to turn on the heat. People in New England plant gardens.
40° F: Italian & English cars won't start. People in New England drive with the windows down.
32° F: Distilled water freezes. Maine's Moosehead Lake's water gets thicker.

i'm psyched to see my breath on tomorow am's mtb ride!!!!!

I'm doing an early morning ride starting at 7 am. Might be below 40 when I start. Gonna rock the long-sleeve and perhaps long polypros under the shorts. Can't wait!

Those are always funny. But the fact of the matter is, most New Englander's are complete wusses about colder temperatures. The image of New Englander's that propagates throughout the country, and indeed within New England, is pretty much not existent except in the more remote areas of northern New England.

I find it amusing telling people that most of my vacation days are spent in sub zero temps. "Whats the coldest you have ever been in" they ask.................around 45 below zero, right around when my camers froze solid.............the look on their face is priceless.

People think I'm nuts for heading out into the cold. Firends and co-workers, are going to Mexico, Aruba and other tropical nightmare places in January while I'm heading north.
