"Fans of Copper Mountain, Winter Park and Steamboat will have a little extra pocket money this year. The Rocky Mountain Super Pass, which is good for unlimited use at Copper and Winter Park and six days at Steamboat, is $40 cheaper this year at $399 compared to last year’s rates."


Anything in the east that is around that price....will have about 2-3 weeks of blackouts..Plus, there is such good skiing at those hills.

It's amazing how ski areas that are destination resorts can "subsidize" their season pass prices.

Well one thing is that people make alot more money here in the Northeast than out in the Rocky mountains on average so they're willing to pay more...also the expense of snowmaking makes it tough for resorts to charge such low rates..plus we don't have the destination skiers subsidizing things..at almost $600..I still feel like my season pass at Blue mountain is a good value...if I lived in Stowe or Jackson Hole..I'd gladly plop down $1500 for a season pass..I just can't put a pricetag on skiing..

Six-to-unlimited days....that is sick! Unfortunately for most of us, during the week, it's either that we're looking for a M-F job or working at a job during the week....but M-F sure is a great time to ski.

I've had an Abasin bonus pass for three years now.
359/unlimited at Abasin with 5 lift tickets to Breck and Keystone, one of which can be used for Vail or BC.

I think its 379 this year, but still, I get my $$$ worth on a few long weekend excursions.

I've thought about buying a copper pass but not sure if I'll travel west enough to make a second pass pay for itself.
I do like copper and MJ/WP, with hopes of getting to Steamboat in the near future.

unbelievable deal! geez i'd pay that for mary jane alone (at wp). throw in copper and 6 days at steamboat which has the best tree skiing anywhere ... you could buy that pass and the vail pass for under a grand and have most of colorado covered. beam me out there scotty ...

My buddy in Denver just switched to the WP/Copper pass for this coming season from the Breck pass. He always liked Winter Park more than the other places because it doesn't get nearly as crowded. He used to have a 3 day week job and was able to hit Breck, Keystone midweek so it wasn't bad. Now he works 5 days a week and does mostly weekends so he wasn't too happy last season at Breck. I might hit WP or Copper this coming season. He also gets several days at Steamboat with his pass so we might hit there. Depends what kinda deals I can find. I always find a great deal somewhere. Never been to Steamboat so we might give that a try...

Nothing in the country comes close to what you can get in Colorado! The EPIC pass used to be close to $2000 and now it's $600. Cheaper than my Killington Blackout pass...

I don't know why, but there are very few great season pass deals in the Northeast. I don't buy the argument that is close to major/wealthy cities, as Tahoe has tons of cheap options (now even Squaw has a good pass deal) with San Francisco less than four hours away. I also don't buy the destination resort argument, as the mountain that first popularized the cheapo season pass is a locals only mountain (http://www.skinet.com/ski/resorts/2001/04/a-bogus-deal). Oh well...at least it encourages variety (arguably more important here than in better endowed mountain regions).
