Yes, I agree. It was dry and dense powder that held up all day. Coverage was good too. Easily the best ski day in New England this season. You could hear hoots and hollers coming from all over the mountain. I am still smiling just thinking about it.

Jealous! But gives me hope that this season will last a little longer for those willing to drive. Waterville Valley was down to the boilerplate in many places yesterday and with 55F at the base, it didn't do much to preserve the little snow they had.

8" fresh sounds pretty good to me. I'll take that over 2 feet of heavy snow if adding to the base wasn't always a consideration.

Steady rain now in the Burke area. I'm glad that I got out to Burke yesterday even if I wasn't able to take advantage of the powder at Jay.
