Jay or Whiteface this weekend?

I'm trying to decide where to go this weekend. I know Whiteface got (is getting) dumped on, but I also know Jay got a bunch of snow recently too. I really like the glades at Jay and in my opinion Whiteface's glades aren't quite as good.

Can anybody tell me what the conditions at Jay are like or will be this weekend? Will the trees be skied off?

Well since Jay has gotten over 2 feet in the last 7 days, and it's suppose to snoew all week, I'd say that would be a good bet

BUT . . . whiteface might open the slides which is a one of a kind eastern skiing experience . . . tough call

Read the weather predictions and current snow reports for both resorts and pick one. Focus only on that resort, go there and have a great time. Do not second guess your choice.

you can't beat jay for woods. given the recent reports i have seen coming from folks that have visited jay, you certainly can't go wrong, especially if they get even more snow.

jay got pretty beat from the weekend and no real snow since sat night, until tonight. I've been skiing BC areas the last few days and still finding some good pow, but the runs on the map I assume have been hammered. conditions this weekend will totally depend on new snow, the good news is that it was dumping when I left the hill at 7 pm with about 3" down in the parking lot. hopefully it just keeps cummin' .

HPD, Jay got absolutely hammered friday night and all day saturday. So did stowe and smuggs. We didn't get it this time buddy. Oh well.

Wind was good/ bad depending how you looked at it. Yeah the Tram never opened, but the wind blew the pow into the glades into drifts over 3 feet. That was fine by me.

wind holds are actually a powder seekers best friend... if you are willing to work a little bit from lower lifts...
