yeah, yeah.... I guess I deserved both of those. I was kinda hoping someone who is not going to be there Saturday would kindly point us in the right direction, seeing as I have never been there.

You'll need to find someone to take you there. The places with the best stashes aren't easy to get to or out of, and the people who go there wouldn't post it online anyways. Talk with other skiers, make friends, and someone may take you there.

There are some fairly well known off map spots that won't be untracked, but will at least be less tracked than the marked on mountain glades.

I was there Saturday and found some of the glades were pretty tracked out but others still had some decent coverage. Best snow was found OB. Definetely better conditions in the trees rather than on the trails themselves. Only did trails to get to the trees. I don't think I did one complete trail all day except for maybe the connecting trail to get us back to the tram base from the top of the Blue Chair.

Jay was awesome Saturday! That's if you were OB! We hooked up with a buddy of mine (the LodgeTheory.com/Jaypeakvideo.com crew) and skied the Beaver pond area and "the Dip" all day. We were skiing knee deep in the Dip. Unbelievable day and a great day with some sick skiers....saw a friend launch a 30' cliff in the trees and stomp it! and someone else throw a crossed up 360 in the trees and stomp it! Check jaypeakvideo.com later in the week for some of the clips. I gotta ski Jay more...............

I also noticed it didn't snow much overnight, but I'm poppin' a couple advil cold and sinus and heading out in a few.

I'm heading up to Jay for the weekend... any idea what the snow is gonna be like? I know they missed that foot they were expecting but can I expect good coverage in the glades? I know it won't be anything like that day I was there and they got 36" whooo that was sweet.

Is anyone else gonna be there this weekend?

don't expect any fresh or untracked, but coverage was good in the glades as of monday. i suspect a lot of the more popular glades will be scratchy but still well covered. i will be there tomorrow but not during the weekend, enjoy.

yes you can expect good coverage in the glades, but its going to be far from the conditions you expirenced the last time you were there. things got pretty warm today (high 30s and its still 34@11pm) and most exposures got pretty heavy, it was even sprinkling as I was driving over jay pass this evening. Unless this sprinkling changes over to hammering I wouldn't expect any pow, but good coverage none the less. I'm still probably going to make a long slog into the west bowl tomarrow to try to find any remants of shaded 5 day old pow.
Beach Party this saturday! usually a wild party, seen chicks get naked there some years, good thing its 21+

We will be there this weekend too with a pretty big group, again with the lodgetheory.com/jaypeakvideo.com crew. Rumor has it we will be shoeing/skinning out to try find some remanant good stuff. Suprised to hear about the warmish weather up there. Still, I get the feeling good times are gonna be had this weekend.

Who knows, maybe Jay will get some freak storm that will dump 3' of powder tonight....

not a chance devo, nice wishful thinking though ;) spring conditions in full effect. i actually had to take off my parka and don my light shell for the afternoon. we occasionally skied through a rare slot of snow that had been untracked from the last storm, but it was all consolidated and wettish. still, the coverage and conditions are great compared to any place else. just don't be expecting anything close to what happened last weekend. this weekend is just the final horrah before they have to start closing stuff.

I aborted all plans to go BC today, cuz frankly in my opinion it would have been a waste of time. sorry DEVO, no remnant good stuff, your a couple of days too late. Your right about good times to be had, it just won't include pow
