In a million years I wouldn't have guessed a guy like that would do this. But, he's probably only about 100 times smarter than me so....very curious what his intentions are.

CEO of Amazon, a company largely responsible for digitizing so much printed media.

If I'm reading this right he's purchasing the paper for $250 million...all his money; Amazon is not involved.

Maybe we can get him to invest in Whaleback and Platty, just kidding. Hopefully this is great for the newspaper maybe they be better on interweb with him in charge.

I could see that- using the news organization as a digital property rather than print. Interesting that it's outside of Amazon, though.
