The ski count thread made me wonder if anyone else keeps a ski journal.
Each time I go skiing I write a little something in my notebook about the trip, weather, conditions, trails, falls ect.
I have been doing this for four years now. I enjoy it for two reasons, one for when summer rolls around I get to think about the great ski seasons of the past and of the upcoming winter, and two it reminds me of good trails where not to eat or stay ect if anyone I know is planning a trip.

Does anyone else keep a ski log or journal?

Cheers!

I keep a very informal one. I've been fooling around with something more structured. As a SCUBA diver, I logged every dive I took. Of course, there was a really simple format, which made it pretty easy.

In my second house in NH we have a log. Everyone that comes up writes in it before theygo home telling about the adventures they have had. We have had it for about 5 years and its tons of fun to look back!

Nope. Only TR's here... I guess that sort of counts but I only started doing that with my last few trips up to the mountains.

I have kept an excel file for the past few years, mainly to know when I need to service the boards in the quiver, and to use some calculations to prove to myself that my family's season tickets break at least even. But I started this blog just this season.

Hi,
I know I'm replying to an old thread, but I have also for years kept a journal of my skiing and find it nice to have those memories. To keep track of those records and also follow what my friends are writing about their skiing, I've developed an application for this. There you can write about your ski days, add information about weather, attach photos and also a GPS track from e.g. a tracking app on your phone to show your skiing on a map. Browse reports by season, location etc.

I would be happy if you try it out, and feedback and suggestions are very welcomed.
You can find the application here: https://apps.facebook.com/snowlog/

I've keep track of my ski days since I've been 16. A friend of mine in High School was going it and I thought it would be a great idea (I was keeping track of the concerts I've seen - still am, but numbers aren't in the same category). There was a bit more information on each entry in the first 2 years. Recently it's been down to date, skiing where, skied used and skied with who. Part of that info that be found on my ski blog.

I started gathering my ski days info and TRs on my ski blog, which is now my ultimate personal diary.
