A source that I trust has given me indications Killington will blow out the "mice" either tonight or tomorrow night.

There are some wind concerns tonight (although definately cold enough)

Tomorrow night will be calmer but not be as cool.

Either way....we all know Killington has a history of firing up the guns for the first frost.

weatherundergroud has Killington VT with a temp of 52 and a dew point of 36

For those of you who dont know, temp can't go below the dew point, so right now it would be a low of 36, but the air is still drying out from today...

Anyone live up there have a better reading? The report from weatherunderground is probably way down in the valley

Cound also be a bit outdated report. It's down to 47 at my house and the dew point is already under the magical number. I'd think Killington is colder. If it isn't, I'm buying a fricken snow gun right now, sticking a rope tow on the hill, and open up. :p

clouds and some showers up there may be messing up our chances....however if it clears up temps can drop fast and they usually blow the snow around 6am when its coldest, so still time

im sure they have a few mountain men hanging around ready to go....

they only need a few

will we see that picture of fall colors and a white patch of man made K-Mart snow????

No, it's actually at one of the highest points east of the CT River. 1,024' above sea level. Some places in the area get up 1,300' with Wachusett being the highest point at 2,006'. It's usually 5-10 degrees colder here than most other parts of the state, but I'd think K would be colder by now.

isn't it suppose to be that a dew point can't get higher than the temp? i never heard of temps not being able to go below the dew point. or can dew points go negative cause tempature sure can!

they can both be below zero, but the temp cant be below the dew point because it would be more than 100% humidity, and that not possible

p.s saying the temp cant be below the dewpoint and the dewpoint cant be above the temp are the same thing...

just wanted to point that out
