You guys don't make good points.

Compared to the one on the top of your head, no, nothing we come up with compares to that! You've got us all beat there. Speaking of beat, this lame thread has no point since you still continue to support the management of a company you purport to hate, by infusing them with your dollars! Wag the dog some more grasshopper!

Not to suggest HS adds a whole lot of substance to the forum (entertainment though IMO), but I have to defend, at least on some level, supporting the management with your $$ that you purport to hate. I have been skiing at Sunday River all my life and love it there. Luckily I couldn't be happier with the management. However, if the management did take a turn for the worst (like it clearly has at Killington), I would likely still ski there. Unless it got real bad, the attributes I love about the mountain and the history I have with the mountain would keep me coming back. That said, it certainly wouldn't keep me from speaking out against a company who is ruining the place I love. Speaking with your $$ is the best option if practical, but that isn't always the case.

Finally, my quote was taken out of context: "Killington Resort spokesman Tom Horrocks confirmed that the goal of Killington's village is to "maximize the spend.""
My comment to you on June 25 during our phone conversation was ,: " ... as a community, we all need to look at ways to maximize what our quest spends from the resort all the way down the access road while they are here."

Riiight.

Still, it's entirely the wrong mentality. There's an quite a bit of putting the cart before the horse by Killington these days.

"In the midst of a deep recession, the Utah-based company that owns the resort and the Texas-based financier and partner charged with developing the ski village plan are hoping to convince the town that their 25-year building plan will stand the test of hard times and make the area prosper with more skiers who will spend more money."

Correct ownership structure is Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC for the mountain operation and SP Land Company, LLC for the Village Development project.

...............which are the shell companies for POWDR of Utah and E2M of Texas, respectively.
