As of today the weather looks good for a few days of snowmaking later next week....If the weather holds they could be open as soon as Fri. Fingers crossed!

Yup they started testing today and it looks like they'll be the first in NE once again.

Based on the model runs I just saw, next weekend is possible if difficult. But the pattern is good for the next couple of weeks so if it's not by Sunday, it will be very soon thereafter. Some snow in that forecast too so it could look like winter soon.

2 things you got to remember about early season system predictions vs what often happens....

#1 The inversion - often is SO frustrating when its say 25 in the valley and 33 at elevation

#2 The influence of the Atlantic Ocean - it's still 60+ degrees from basically Long Island South - as soon as any storm system gets close enough to draw moisture off the Atlantic this time of year the cold air at the core of the storm tends to moderate quicker than many computer models suggest

That being said, I sure hope the air coming this way is cold enough to make it happen!!!

What do they usually charge for early season lift tickets?
