Killington Update: SNOWMAKING is back ON

Looks like Thursday!

Killington will open at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day for the 2006-07 season.

We are making snow right now from the peak right down to the K-1 Lodge and the light snow that fell this morning was a great help!

On Thursday Killington will open with top to bottom skiing served by the K-1 Gondola! Once again, we're going to capitalize on our advantages of elevation, extensive snowmaking, superior grooming and dedicated staff to provide the best possible experience for our guests as we kick off the season.

220 guns going tonight on the lower slopes. The plan is to continue through Wednesday AM, let it set, groom it Wednesday night and Thursday morning and open at 8 a.m. on Turkey Day with the most terrain in the East served by at least five lifts.
