Back on topic...Since Powdr's ownership of Killington, I've been told that Sugarbush has picked up 50,000 skier visits per season. Coincidence?
Sugarloaf has something like that (at least they did last year). Hate it. Don't like having a separate, privileged, class. Occasionally the KMS kids get to ski early on a powder day and it burns me up.i think (2nd hand from a friend) that Mt. Snow offers season passholders 30 minutes EXTRA on weekend. you can start @ 7:30 while general public waits til 8.
Not at all. Numerous season pass holders have left Killington for Sugarbush, along with day trippers and weekenders. It adds up!

Privelaged class? Really, near as I can tell it is smart buisness to get people to buy a pass.

I do not think it is fair to have people with early privileges. Even though they paid extra for it, it just seems un-American. Anyone with a pass, or ticket, to ski that day should have the same access to first chair.
Of course it is smart to sell passes, and all different kinds of passes, just please do not sell special early privileges. If the rich folks want reserved powder, let them buy a heli trip.
Okemo, i believe, sells a pass that allows you to cut the line (enter same as ski school)
I would not be surprised, but it would piss me off. I hate it when some amusement parks sell the privilege, too. (not to be confused with "fastpass" that everyone has access too at some amusement parks - those are great). Ski school I understand cutting the line as time is of the essence there.
hell yeahHow about key lifts open 8am weekends.
What a novel idea...
hell yeah
K-1, Skyship and Bear at 8. Everything else at 830. That would actually serve both the customers and the mountain.
They already do this. Bunch of lifts only operate 9am to 3pm. (Needles Quad, Snowdon Triple, etc.) Sounds like you want to change which ones they operate early, but the concept is already in use at K.
Didn't you physically attack 2knees at Magic the other week just to cop a feel?
