I am pretty sure I recall doing just this in the past. I would do it if that option were open. Ride Skyeship up in the AM and then download at the end of the day out of Needles base. How hard would it be to set up downloading on Stage 1? Thereβs been winters theyβve struggled to get snow made all the way to Rte 100 by Christmas.

Stage II gets you higher up than Needles thus offering a few more connection choices. Could be the reason early season especially as well.Is there a reason Stage II is always run over Needles when only one of those lifts are operating? Iβd think a lot more skiers/riders would prefer Needles on such a short ride.
Agree! I heard a rumor that the doors now work and very few stoppages on Stage 2.I certainly would prefer needles quad over the gondola but I also hate gondolas.
If you split the stages at the midstation so that it runs as two independent lifts, which Skeship is capable of, then you can load people to download on the uphill side just before it goes round the stage 1 midstation bullwheel. The problem with downloading from Northbrook station is crossing over to the other side to get in. You wouldn't be able to cross within the terminal. They would need to build a walkway that went under the lift uphill from the terminal and then came back to a new loading platform. Not the end of the world but it's not setup for that today. I also don't think the terminal currently opens doors on the downhill side.
Sick is the correct term. No need at all to ski mm snow trails - the nat. was near perfect. Woods filled in- didn't do Julio or unmarked but they were all skiable and had a few tracks. It was 'quiet, western-style skiing yesterday with enough terrain and lifts open to keep it essentially walk on everywhere. Needles was near perfect.

Yes operate both stages as two separate liftsRight, but you would not do that under these conditions, they would have Stage II operating as well.
